A good days work......
Last week Mrs T, executive and
artisitic
director of
Cartouche
Cards participated in her second Bazaar. This one was for the Uganda trip being run by the school, raising money for for the school the kids will be visiting. Production of cards at home has been feverish....Easter cards, birthday cards and Valentine cards have been rolling off the presses at a rate of knots. Unfortunately the Bazaar was at the same time as the Charity Committee for the company that Tina is on and she could not attend, a pity because she was requesting some funds for the Orphanage to complete their building plans. Buy (deliberate pun) all accounts the expat ladies had a great time, Mrs T sold over 140 cards earning something like 2500
egyptian
for the Orphanage. The best bit of feedback she got was the Valentines cards were too romantic for many of the wives and they wanted some more corny - abusive -humorous ones!!!! Of course it would have been silly for Mrs T not to do a little shopping also, justified of course by the fact it was for charity! She came home to some good news also, the Charity committee had approved the money to the orphanage - so all in all a very good day for everyone, from the expat wives of
Kattameya
, to the kids in Heliopolis orphanage to the kids in a school in
Uganada
.
