Cardboard City

Quick update as currently no conneciton at home......

We are swimming in a sea of cardboard.

Last two days we have taken delivery of the house and container. P took two days off work and the kids were out of the way at school. Ahmed Da Driver has been a star.

We labelled all the rooms/areas with arabic numbers and after checkin things in directed to guys to Arbaa (4) or hdaashar (11) etc. No we just know some rooms as 14 or 6!!!!

Virtually everything unpacked, just a few dings and breakages, nothing bad. P spent yesterday teaching Ahmed the joys of IKEA furniture aasembly. He said it was interesting seeing the Egyptian style of following instructions (i.e. none). But he was a great help and is keen to put some furniture together himself now P is a work. P and Ahmed are both suffering badly from reptitive strain injury with an allen key.

House was completely dusty when we arrived, have the Shell cleaners coming in today, but may take weeks to get clean. Boys already been out on thier bikes (helping out!).

All in all very please with how its gone, you can phone us on our mobiles if you want, looks like internet / satellite TV may take a little while to sort.....
